Boat Tour
Boat rental and excursion on Crete: the boats are equipped with a 30PK motor and a reserve motor (if any problem may occur) of 5PK, 10 safety vests, a MP3 player, fish and depth meter and equipment. These boats are also very suitable for fishing on Crete.
Dia Island by boat: our boat excursion offers you a full day of action, beautiful scenery, water sport and fn! We will leave at 9.00 o’clock in the morning from the harbour and we will sail to the East point of Dia Island. From this spot we will sail past the South side of Dia wit a stop at the Madonna bay at a cave. From this point you are not able to see Crete anymore. On a quiet day you will see lots of different fish and birds. After our stop at the Madonna bay we sail to the South West Cape of Dia Island. There we will enjoy a BBQ at a remote beach. We will stay here for a few hours, so we can relax and sunbath, or snorkelling, hiking, swimming or fishing. From this beach it is very easy to hike to the North side of Dia Island.
After our BBQ we will sail to the North side of Dia. You will see a beautiful island with impressive riffs and high rocks (with a depth of 60 meter under water!). If you like, we are also able to visit an under water sea cave!
After sailing to the North coast we will continue to go to the island of Paximadi. Paximadi is situated approximately 4 kilometres of Dia Island. Paximadi means in Greek “hard baked bread” and that is just what is looks like....We will sail around this little island. At the South side of Paximadi we will stop for swimming and snorkelling. Here you will find lots of old archaeological treasures under water, unfortunately it is strictly forbidden to touch these objects, because off course you are very to look and admire it as much as you like! The rock at the South side of Paximadi hides lots of small caves under water. Feel free to explore them together with your dive master! You will also find exotic fishes under water!
Dolphins on Crete Greece: we can not give you a guarantee that we will spot dolphins every time we go sailing, but last summer we have seen them three times! Once dolphins were swimming around or boats, an unforgettable experience! Between Dia and Paximadi dolphins have been spotted on a regular base. If you visit Knossos, you are able to see many dolphins on the old archaeological wall paintings! Every time we are at sea and we spot flying fish, we will see dolphins later in the day.
