Boat trips on Crete
Crete is the isle of sun, sea and water. Your holiday on Crete is not complete without a boat trip to one of the quaint little harbours or numerous uninhibited islands around. We invite you to join us on a trip along the north coast of Crete. You will be treated to a beautiful view of old village harbours interchanged with touristy beaches. We also regularly organize trips to one of the deserted islands around Crete where we can swim and snorkel in the clearest waters and have a shot at actually seeing dolphins. During our boat trips on Crete, we will always provide you with some cold drinks, nice music and some food. Also during out boat excursions on Crete, you will get the chance to snorkel!
Mediterranean sailing
A dream of most is to sail around the Greek islands; we can make this dream come true. We organize a one day sailing trip guided by an experienced captain. The beginner will get acquainted with sailing, the advanced sailor has a nice and relaxed day on the water with kindred spirits and the sun lover will adore the deck chairs.
Boat or sailboat for rent
Would you rather go out on your own? Not a problem either. We are happy to organize the rental of your boat or sail boat for you. Every boat is for rent with or without a captain and varies from fisher boat to speed boat to fully blown sail bloat: the choice is yours. Sailing holidays on Crete
From Crete many Greek islands are easily reachable by sailboat. Santorini, Dia, Tinos, Naxos, Paros, Ios, etc. etc. You will decide for how long you would like to sail, we will provide you with routes and maps. A popular trip is a tour around the island where you will make stops at all the accommodations offered on our site. We will be happy to make all the necessary reservations for you.
Combination holiday
A combination holiday is a very diverse way of spending your well deserved vacation. You can mix sailing with active excursions and lazing on a secluded beach. Whether you wish to go diving, gorge hiking, cooking, etc. etc. all of these activities can be combined with your sailing holiday. A tailor made holiday indeed.
Fishing on Crete Greece
Whatever side of the island you may wish to visit: from all of our accommodations a good fishing spot is only 10 minutes away. You can bring your own equipment but we will be happy to arrange all the necessary materials for you. Of course we also offer organized fishing excursions like: a trip with a real fisher boat, night fishing or open sea fishing. Even renting your own fisher boat is a possibility. As in all EU countries a fishing license is obligatory although there is not a lot of checking going on. Either the owner or the captain of the boat needs to be in possession of this license. The Zorbas Island team has been busy this winter! While Kokkini Hani was quiet, we set out to rediscover the island. The result? A brand new excursion programme full of surprises, specially designed for both our new guests and the familiar faces we welcome back every year.
Walking for all levels: We have mapped out a beautiful new walk that is accessible to absolutely everyone. Enjoy nature on smooth, beautiful gravel paths without any significant elevation changes. Just relax, walk and look around you. For the adventurers who like to push the boundaries, we are heading back into the mountains. We have a few challenging new longer-distance hikes ready for you that will really put your calves to work!
The highlight of the year: Unknown Crete: Our absolute favourite has been completely revamped. Unknown Crete will be the highlight of 2026. We have found routes that were new even to us: authentic villages, hidden valleys and unique encounters. This is Crete as you have never seen it before.
Underwater world: New snorkelling spots: There is also news to report underwater! We have marked out two brand new snorkelling spots this winter. The great thing is that these spots have been chosen so that we can go there in any type of winter weather (and spring winds). Whether the sea is calm or a little wilder, we always have a sheltered spot where you can admire the beautiful underwater world.
